- Objective
  
  To have the ball travel straight and low through the air, without an arcing path.
  
  Coaching Points
  
  Lean forward with your head over the ball and your non-kicking foot planted pointing at your partner. Strike the middle of the ball with the shoe laces and follow through to your target with toes down.
  
  Problems to Watch Out For
  
  Players will toss the ball too high, making good contact difficult to achieve. Players will look up too early to see the result of their strike and won't strike ball as well as they could otherwise.
  
  Why This Works
  
  Players get an understanding of how the ball should feel coming off the foot. Also, the strike of the ball has to be timed to achieve a realistic shooting trajectory.
